Our Wedding

When we tell people we met on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel, we are often asked, "Well, who's coffee and who's bagel?" Brendan is like the first sip of hot coffee on a quiet morning: warm and energizing. Amanda is the freshly toasted, buttered bagel that completes the experience-equally comforting, perfectly complementary, and with both those on the table: simply better together than apart. Yes, we are making food analogies already. The truth is, we are no longer one without the other. We came from two completely different places in life and found our person in the midst of it all.

Coffee Meets Bagel

Since day one, our certified saying is Always A Team. A simple, hefty reminder that we both don't tackle anything alone ever again, not because we can't, but because we have each other. And the best part is, we do make a really good team.

In November 2025, against the backdrop of a beautiful castle courtyard in Sintra, Portugal, Brendan asked Amanda to marry him. The funny part? Amanda already knew the proposal was happening. Why? Because Brendan, so innocently, blew the news 6 days before the Portugal trip via a photo he sent to Amanda without reviewing it himself first. The content of the photo: A decorated notecard from his coworkers wishing him a farewell from this department, sweet endeavors onto the next, and... congratulations on his engagement. It makes for an amazing story that we love to tell but the truth is, despite Amanda knowing that it was happening, she didn't know when or where. The know bouts did not take away from the extremely stunning and genuine proposal, in fact, it added so much more to the entire trip that solidified our next steps.

Now we are SO looking forward to solidifying our next chapter together and feel incredibly grateful to celebrate it with the people we love most. Thank you for being part of our story, every bit along the way.

Since the location of our wedding is remote and the route requires cautious driving, we recommend staying in Sierra City for the weekend of 10/9 through 10/11 for safety. Below we have linked local stays to make searching easier for our guests. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Brendan or Amanda.

We have personally blocked off some of their cabins during our wedding weekend to our guests, first come first serve.2 night minimum. Use link below to reserve.

PLEASE PRE-DOWNLOAD ROUTE OR PRINT  OUT DIRECTIONS. THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE THROUGH MOST OF THE DRIVE OR IN SIERRA CITY. 

Directions

Sierra City, CA is about a 2 and half hour drive from Sacramento. A good chunk of the drive is on CA-49 N. CA-49 is such a beautiful drive but heavily winding as it climbs and descends through the steep river canyons of the Yuba River. You will encounter many tight turns, switchbacks, and areas without guardrails. Early October is typically snow/ice free for this region, but just as a precaution: check California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for current road conditions or chain controls before you depart! The Venue

The venue is a private property cabin owned by extended family. We are extremely grateful that Don and Vicki have offered us this space for our weekend celebration. The cabin itself is off limits to wedding guests outside of immediate family, but there will be a luxury restroom trailer for our guests to use during our celebration. There will be signs and patio lights leading the way to our ceremony and reception area from the parking area. Please see map below for a better visual.
